Global Wastewater Day launches

On a single coordinated day, participating organisations across the globe will collect a wastewater sample. These will be analysed both in the participant laboratories (where possible) and at a central lab to generate a unique global dataset providing insight into antimicrobial resistance, pathogens, pharmaceuticals, and wider human health indicators. The initiative is part of GLOWACON, the Global Consortium for Wastewater and Environmental Surveillance for Public Health.
