Dr Muhammad Dangana

Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

Dr. Muhammad Dangana is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Bath, specializing in IoT-based water sensing research. He earned his PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2024, where he explored the application of Digital Twin technology in Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) wireless communications for industrial applications.

His research interests span IoT applications and deployments, wireless communication (including 5G), Digital Twin technology, computer networks, and machine learning for data enhancement. His previous work includes developing a full IoT infrastructure for data acquisition, integrating both local and cloud-based services, as well as designing and implementing a Digital Twin platform for human activity modelling and anomaly detection in living environments.

At the Centre of Excellence in Water-Based Early-Warning Systems (CWBE), Dr. Muhammad is currently designing and executing IoT-based projects aimed at collecting and delivering water biomarker data. By leveraging both local and cloud-based resources, his work contributes to the development of a digital platform for public health monitoring and early-warning systems.

He enjoys playing football and watching movies outside his research.
